COP26 is the 2021 United Nations climate change conference. COP26 has the aim of “uniting the world to tackle climate change”. This year will be the 26th annual summit - giving it the name COP26.
The COP26 summit, taking place Nov 1-12 in Glasgow, Scotland, will bring together parties from governments, private sector, investors, NGOs, and activists to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
There’s no doubt that UNGA76, New York Climate Week, Climate Week Africa, and pre-COP Milan over the past two weeks have set the world on a track of increasing excitement and action on the road to COP26 this November in Glasgow. The many events, conversations, and announcements which have come out in the past weeks, show a unity in commitment towards a net zero future across the globe.
